Using only natural ingredients and colours, I’ve been crafting my unique handmade soaps. I am passionate about making no nastie soap and I am open about the ingredients used. Handmade soaps are a luxurious addition to any shower and are a great gift idea.
So why choose handmade soap? Handmade soaps are real soap! Those ‘soaps’ you find at the supermarket aren’t really soap, and if you look closely, you’ll notice they’re not called soap either. They use names like ‘body bar’, ‘cleansing wash’ or ‘beauty bar’ to hide the fact they are really solid bars of manufactured detergent. They contain a scary list of chemicals and unnecessary ingredients, and are just generally fairly nasty.
Handmade soap is the skin friendly alternative. My soap contains all its natural glycerin, a happy byproduct of the saponification process. Glycerin is an emollient, an essential ingredient that makes your skin softer by increasing hydration. Commercial soap products often have the glycerin removed for products with higher profit margins like eye creams and wrinkle removers.
My soaps are all palm free. I also normally stock an extensive range of products ranging from vegan and dairy free, to Coeliac suitable and nut free. My soaps contain no fragrance oils or synthetic colours. I use pure essential oils for my scented soaps and food grade ingredients for colour, things like turmeric, cocoa or spirulina powder.
So why not try one of my soapy babies today.
